“Ankara Village” is a play on Ifeoma’s West African heritage, inspired by a photo of a figure walking by a closed door. This imagines a woman walking by an open door to a different world. An exercise in using fabrics and takes a different perspective on “The World We Carry,” the mixed media painting on wood panel moves away from the typical crown of cities and moves into the overall composition. Ankara Village sits at 8×8 inches and was created in May of 2025. .
